Sabra

February 20th, 2012 by

The Sabra was born when Autocars, an Israeli firm, commissioned Reliant, a British car company to build them a sports car. The Sabra Sport was to be sold as a new entry in the growing US sports car market in the early 1960’s. Total production is estimated at 208, with 55 sold in the UK under the name of Sabra, and 153 were exported to the US under the name of Sabra. The Sabra Sport was introduced at the 1961 New York Auto Show.

This Sabra  has been sitting in a warehouse for many years before finding its way to our shop. This is certainly a rare find and has the potential to be a nice driver. [nggallery id=60]

2009 Porsche 911S

June 14th, 2011 by

Porsche has built its fame and fortune on a single rear-engine sports car, the 911. From rather humble beginnings, the Porsche 911 has gone on to be one of the most influential and most recognizable vehicles in the world. Today’s version of the car provides stunning levels of performance without sacrificing much in terms of day-to-day usability, and many Porsche purists still consider the 911 the only “real” Porsche. And although other sports cars have been able to outperform the 911 in one area or another, nothing has yet to match Porsche’s overall blend of performance, practicality and that endearing connection between car and driver. The 2009 911S was the first year to provide 523 horses and includes a hill holder, ventilated seats, Bluetooth and an iPod interface.

2009 Volvo C30

June 14th, 2011 by

Sure, everyone sees the Mini’s driving everywhere, or the VW Gti’s pulling out of high school parking lots, but you don’t see the Volvo C30 very often. There really is no reason for that.  The 2.5-liter turbocharged inline-5 is good for 227 horses and 236 torques and takes you 0-60 in just 6.6 seconds.  That’s faster than both the Mini and Gti, we are talking in the same size and price category.  It also has a genius interior, with the one feature I love the most, the waterfall center console with the hidden compartment behind.  It’s perfect for a purse or wallet to be stashed out of prying eyes.  This is definitely one car that I’m surprised isn’t on the streets more.
